FAQ

WHERE IS FAIR ISLE YARN SOLD AND HOW DO I PAY FOR IT?

Fair Isle Yarn is on our brand website and select independent retailers. We also sell our yarn through a small number of carefully selected yarn shops around the U.S.

We accept any standard credit card as payment directly from our site.

WHEN CAN I BUY FAIR ISLE YARN?

You can buy Fair Isle Yarn wherever it is sold, subject to availability. Catch sales on our Facebook page, on our blog, in our Ravelry group, and our e-news list. Updates typically occur once a week depending on travel, shows, etc. Shows that we may attend as a vendor are usually announced by these outlets as well.

HOW WILL I GET MY YARN?

If ordered directly from our Fair Isle Yarn site, your yarn will come packaged in a polybag to keep it dust-free and in a brown corrugated box with printed Fair Isle Yarn tape. Yarn delivered will be sent to delivery address input into our payment options page.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes! Where shall we go? Quebec, Canada? Santiago, Chile? Or Fair Isle, Scotland perhaps? Be advised that our carriers may charge extra for international shipping.

WHAT IF MY YARN HASN’T ARRIVED?

Oh no! Distress not! Shipping errors can happen and we will work with you to make sure your yarn is delivered appropriately. As much as we love to hear from you, please do not post about a shipping issue on Ravelry, Twitter, or other social media prior to contacting us for help. We want to make you happy, so let us know by reaching us at contact@fairisleyarn.com.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO BUY AN ENTIRE KIT THAT INCLUDES A PATTERN ALONG WITH THE YARN?

Of course! Fair Isle Yarn partners with designers that create patterns and projects specifically for our yarn. So, if you’re ready to make something beautiful, we can put it all together for you in our yarn kits, ready to knit.

WHERE DOES YOUR YARN COME FROM, AND HOW IS THE FIBER OBTAINED?

Fair Isle Yarn comes directly from our factories in Asia, where we have operated for over 15 years. We believe in ethical working conditions and hold our dying techniques to the highest standards. In fact, we consider many of our workers like family and have been dedicated to our company since we opened our factory doors.

Our process follows the latest environmental standards to make sure our yarn is not only gorgeous, but also safe our friends, family and the world we live in.

While providing yarn that is attractive and great to knit with is our priority, we always make sure our customers can buy our yarn knowing it was created with love.
